Your aim will be to achieve the best price to quality ratio, timely delivery, the best terms & conditions and to focus on (internal) customer satisfaction. The current Procurement & Logistics team consists of two operational buyers, a technical buyer and two employees Logistics. You will play a key role in successfully delivering and operating Newbuilt state of the art SOVs (Service Operating Vessel) which will operate from Grimsby for long terms operation and maintenance contract for UK based leading utility company active in the renewables market.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Determine the needs of the various departments within our organization and make quotation requests from (potential) suppliers.
  • Assess offers and make recommendations to the budget holder.
  • Ensure operational needs are met, considering price, quality and delivery to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Contract the selected supplier, using category management for the selection of the strategic suppliers, including all commercial and logistical agreement.
  • Use the ERP-system and make proposals for improvement in procurements & logistics processes.
  • Responsible for the procurement of consumables, equipment, parts, tools and services.
  • Ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase order and report and follow-up any back-ordered or missing products.
  • Cooperate with the colleagues of Logistics regarding quality, delivery and shipping of supplies to the vessels.
  • Ensure the correct follow-up and settlement on rejection, penalty clauses and warranty claims.
  • Provide advice and awareness for other departments regarding procurement processes and procedures.
  • Fulfil supplier assessments (on location) if required.

 

Qualifications & Experiences

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as technical buyer.
  • Proven commercial and mechanical / electrical knowledge.
  • Strategic thinking, creating alliances with strategic partners, creating a competitive position in the market.
  • Strong knowledge of MS-office applications, especially MS Excel.

About the job

Acta Marine UK limited will be supporting our Service Operating Vessels (SOV’s) operating from Grimsby. The vessels will be providing walk-to-work services under a long-term contract with UK based leading utility company active in the renewables market.

 

As Technical buyer, you will report to the Vessel Superintendent in UK locally and operationally to Procurement manager of Acta Marine. As part of a highly engaged team based in the UK, France & Holland, you will deliver the most effective and efficient procurement and logistics services in full alignment with the objectives and work culture of Acta Marine.

 

Selection Process
