Hospitality Superintendent
Are you a passionate hospitality professional with experience in the maritime sector? Acta Marine is looking for a Hospitality Manager to join our team! In this role, you will ensure a welcoming and comfortable environment on board our vessels for clients, crew members, and guests. You will maintain a high service standard while optimizing guest satisfaction and business profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the hospitality budget.
- Overseeing hospitality quality control.
- Managing contracts with vendors and suppliers.
- Conducting and following up on hospitality inspections and audits.
- Developing and implementing hospitality policies and work procedures.
- Creating and implementing a hospitality training program.
- Reporting on hospitality-related topics.
- Managing document control for hospitality matters.
- Evaluating and improving the planned maintenance system (PMS).
- Assisting in investigating accidents and incidents related to hospitality.
- Supporting the Crew Manager in the recruitment and selection of hospitality crew.
- Assisting in special projects such as new builds and tenders.
- Ensuring the proper follow-up of hospitality complaints.
Who Are We Looking For
- A bachelor’s degree in hospitality management.
- 3-5 years of proven experience in a similar position within the shipping industry.
- Knowledge of codes and standards such as ISO, ISM, MLC, and HACCP.
- An understanding of sustainability practices in the hospitality industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to travel to vessels and other office locations when required.
- A Boat Transfer certificate, Basic Safety Training, and a Seafarer’s Medical Certificate.
