Global Tech 1 Offshore Wind Farm
The Acta Orion successfully assisted Adwen with their maintenance scope of work for the wind turbines on Global Tech 1 Offshore Windfarm, in the German Bight. The scope of work included routine inspection of the blades, oil exchange, maintenance of the lifts.
The Ampelmann E1000 gangway system was used to transfer Charterers’ technicians as well as oil containers from the vessel to the transition pieces of the turbines. All necessary equipment was kept onboard the vessel in the covered cargo space where the Charterer had the opportunity to prepare the refueling kits in a dry and weather protected surrounding prior to deployment. The crew transfer operations took place in 24/7 manner whilst achieving a high availability from the vessel.
Furthermore, the Acta Orion also assisted Adwen with the hook?up and commissioning of the Offshore Substation on this project.
