Gemini wind farm
Located 85 kilometers above the coast of Groningen, the new offshore wind farm Gemini promises to be one of the largest wind farms in the world. It is under construction in the Dutch sector of the North Sea. The Coastal Chariot is operated in assistance of Gemini’s construction.
The Coastal Chariot is performing the role of anchor handler for Hopper Dredger Sliedrecht 27. Within another work scope on the same project, the DP1 Multipurpose Support Vessel also monitors the infield cable pull-in with an onboard ROV.
Acta Marine Wind is furthermore supporting this project with various Crew Transfer Vessels. The Offshore Waddenzee, the Offshore Wandelaar and the Offshore West Hinder are all supporting this installation project 24 hours a day. The Gemini project team is additionally assisted by other support vessels, such as the large Liz V. and the Stril Server, an 85 meter long Multi Purpose DP2 Support Vessel. All listed vessels are charter-in via Acta Marine Wind in support of the project’s EPC Contractor. This fall, the Acta Orion will be the 7th vessel assisting the construction of the Gemini project.
