Mombasa Port Development
The Coastal Guardian was deployed in Kenya for dredging operations in the first phase of the construction of a container terminal.
To be able to start with the construction of the quay wall, three deep trenches were dredged. The soft surface could therefore be replaced with offshore sand. These dredging activities were executed with two Trailing Suction Hopper Dredgers and a spray pontoon. The Multicat Eurocarrier 2209 supported these operations.
This project had a duration of over one year, was completed in January 2014, and consisted of: linking the hopper to the pipeline, anchor handling of the spray pontoon and general support operations.
