Mittelplate
In 1979 a client requested vessels to sail through water with a depth of only seventy centimeters. Acta Marine made this possible.
In 1981, the development and construction of an artificial drilling and production platform in the UNESCO World Heritage Site Mittelplate started. The drilling and production process needed to be protected against the elements and the environment had to be protected against the effects of drilling and production. It resulted in very strict quality and safety requirements for the operations carried out by Acta Marine.
Multiple Acta Marine vessels are operating in this project since 1981, i.e. the Coastal Liberty, Coastal Legend, Sara Maatje X, Sara Maatje IV, Coastal Flash, and Sara Maatje IV.
This project started in 1981, still continues, and consists of: supply of the platform and crew transfers.
