Acta Marine’s new workboat Coastal Roamer inaugurated
In today’s uncertain times of the global corona epidemic, Acta Marine reports positive business news; the inauguration of their new workboat Coastal Roamer on her first assignment.
Coastal Roamer is a strong and powerful shallow-draft workboat built by Damen Shipyards, with excellent fuel efficiency.
The fully equipped 25 meters long vessel, with unrestricted navigation license, has a bollard pull of 19 tons at a remarkable operating draft of only 1.8 meters. The accommodation onboard caters for up to six persons in four cabins.
The first job for Coastal Roamer involved underwater inspections at a near-shore windfarm in the Netherlands. Later this month April the vessel will go on a long term charter at the Afsluitdijk reinforcement project in the tidal Wadden Sea area near our home base in the Netherlands.
The investment in Coastal Roamer shows Acta Marine’s commitment to the offshore workboat segment, with a focus on ultra-shallow draft operations.
