Acta Marine is operating the Dynamic Positioning (DP) Multicat since 2009. These vessels are equipped with a certified DP1 system that ensures perfect positioning, enabling vessels to hold position without the use of anchors. As a result, they can work more efficient and are not dependent upon seabed constructions. Several DP Multicats have been added to the fleet since 2009, which contributed to the growth of Acta Marine as the leading provider of these vessels.
DP Multicats in shallow waters
Acta Marine was the first maritime service provider to use the Dynamic Position technology upon smaller workboats. The vessels differentiate from the market, because of their operational depth of only two meters. It makes the DP Multicats particularly suited for operations in coastal and shallow waters. In addition, the vessels have a spacious deck that can be adjusted to accommodate up to 17 persons by placing Temporary Living Quarters.
